About Me

I began my professional work in the field of ASL in 2007. I have worked as a certified interpreter as well as a licensed teacher. I have a Masters in Education with and emphasis in technology intergration, a Bachelor's in Deaf Studies and ASL Education, and an Assoicate Degree in ASL and English Interpretation. I have served on both UTRID and ASLTA boards within my profession.

This is probably my favorite career path. I love meeting new people, and I love the intimacy of the Deaf Community. Everyday is a challege. Nothing is routine. This career path has limitless possibilities and unimaginable opportunities for growth.

Nothing beats the experience of being involved in the development of another human being. This is when I learn the most about who I am. Truly, I come out ahead when I focus on helping students master language and crtical thinking skills. My students are indeed a treasure.

It's true, I am a perpetual student. I admit, I can't get enough. There is always something new to learn or pursue, and let's be frank, it excites me. I'm quite certain I will always find myself in a classroom or workshop of some kind.

I am in the process of estabishing a new business. I have found a niche in the interpreting field that can be filled using both my interpreting and technological expertise.
